We’ve all fiddled while this abomination we call “Washington DC” burns! While you were watching “Honey-freakin-boo-boo”, the “Duck Dynasty” boys or “The Walking Dead” (I initially thought this particular show was about that Moms Demand Action group), all those amazing (or not so amazing) politicians we’ve elected over the years, were playing mindlessly in the “candy store”. Now that the “sugar” induced coma they’ve fallen into is wrecking our country, everyone wants to cast blame on the kids, when it’s truly the babysitter’s fault. Our founders intended for We the People to “watch” over our leaders.

I know some of the first things I’ll hear is; “but I’ve been too busy working” or “I have a family to raise, bills to pay… yadda, yadda, yadda! Yes, we’ve all had to work (or at least “most” of us had to work), and many of us have families to raise, bills to pay, Jiminy-freakin-crickets people, what did you expect would happen with all those toys you have in the garage? Or maybe you don’t have a lot of toys, but still needed to make a certain income to allow for a comfortable living. It all boils down to having to take jobs that demand 60-80 hour work weeks. Now, your boss has you by the “short & curlies”, because you have to pay those high priced bills. Or your replacement, who’s been standing in the wings waiting like a rabid hyena will step in for half the price as soon as you say;”I need to spend more time with my family.” Hmmm… feel trapped much?


So if you’re talking about having the time? I get it… I really do John.” but c’mon y’all, what did you expect the price was for all the money you’ve been spending? You’ve listened to all those politicians saying; “The economy is recovering nicely, go buy that $300k house you’ve been wanting… on credit.” I mean it’s the American way, right? Right, and it’s also unnecessarily overburdening yourselves. It’s forcing you (and your significant other) to work unGodly hours, completely limiting the amount of time you have to do those things necessary to maintaining a healthy family and country. We’ve allowed these unsupervised politicians to run amuck in a DC “candy store”, and still some of us have the audacity to blame them. The thing is, it’s really not completely their fault. These narcissistic a-holios having such immense “super egos”, actually believe they know what We the People want or need. So while all of us were busy with our own “crap”, they convinced themselves and what seems like a majority of the populace that they are qualified to “mind the store”. This concept makes me laugh… because it’s like giving a patient the keys to the nut house.


I have to ask; “Please tell me Mr. Politician, is it simply because you were ultra-educated in some ivy covered building, in some New England state or is it because you have visions (delusions) of grandeur, that you feel you are in any way shape or form qualified to walk in the shoes of our country’s Framers?” How ’bout I answer that for you; You are not and never will match up to their level of patriotism. You will never be qualified enough to think for me or the rest of the constituents of this country! I will tell you what I want and when I want it. You are the mouthpiece for We the People and we’ll tell you when and how to speak. You are an employee, and WE ARE YOUR BOSSES! Do not forget where you came from and who put you there. Oh, and if you manage to do your job well enough, you might get promoted and given a small raise, but if you even think for one minute you are capable of making decisions on your own… We will fire your ass “quick, fast and in a hurry”.

President Obama's Assault Weapon...Come on people, we already know that Oblamo doesn’t care what anyone wants or has to say (proof: his excessive misuse of executive order privileges). He only cares about what he thinks is “good” for us, and he’s prepared to do anything necessary to see the “dreams of his father” (Bill Ayers is his “real” Daddy) come to fruition. Now, I don’t know about y’all, but the last person that I “let” make decisions for me (and it wasn’t always because I was in agreement) was my father, when I was living in his house, under his rules. Well Oblamo ain’t my “daddy”, and I helped build this house we call a country. So yeah… NO!


So the next question I will hear is; What can we do now, go to WAR? Yeah, I’ve heard this one every other day for the last three years as I built Cold Dead Hands. It sounds logical. I mean shucks, our Founding Fathers did it, right? They sure did, but when they did it, they also DECLARED our independence, first. The Declaration of Independence is one of the most prolific documents ever penned by man. A bold statement and proclamation endorsed by prominent businessmen across the colonies stating our intentions (think of a modern day Press Release with prominent and legitimate endorsements). They incorporated the reasons why we were declaring our independence (life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness being a major contributing factor) as well as “how” we were going to do it. Many of those reasons are very similar to the ones we are facing now. Taxation without proper representation? Damn right we are taxed unfairly… and you can thank your relatives for that, when they elected “Czar Wilson“… yep another We the People debacle not unlike the Oblamo incident we’re facing now.


So why not revolt and “take our government back?” Hold your horses there Paul… we have something called the Constitution of the United States of America. And I’m telling you right now; There is absolutely nothing in this incredibly constructed document that allows for insurrection against our government. If you want war… then be prepared to “declare‘ your independence (as our Founders did with the DOI) and go to war against our government (just like they did in 1776). Then if you manage to succeed and gain your independence, you can form a new country and Constitution, which is exactly what our Founding Fathers did. Although truth be told, I don’t trust anyone to create a new Constitution. Not because it can’t be done, but because I know money will corrupt any attempt at creating a “more” perfect document.


Now this is not meant to say I will not defend my country, because I will in a heartbeat (it will be from my Cold Dead Hands), but I will not endorse “firing the first shot!” This is the United States of America. It is my country, and although I might be a bit ashamed of Her current condition, it truly is WE THE PEOPLE who have allowed it. I’ll be damned if I’m going to help anyone burn Her to the ground, but I will not sit idly by and watch some Fascist Dictator run roughshod over Her either. And here is just one more thought on this; If we’re having trouble getting everyone to become active right now, how does anyone think it possible to get them involved in fighting and forming a new country and government? To overthrow one tyrannical government for that of an unknown outcome is foolish at best and a huge gamble at the very least. So let’s truly start using our Constitution to fight our battles for us.

So what can we do instead? Listen y’all, We the People of this great Nation have everything we need at our disposal to fix the problems we’ve allowed to happen over the last 150 years, and we can do it within the confines of the Constitution as well. Remember, the Constitution was written to protect We the People from our government, not our government from the “people”. It’s high time we use that document to our benefit (sure, many of you are saying; Well what the hell have we been doing?). I know what a small percentage have been doing; community service, local political involvement, grass roots activism, even social media activism is good… although it’s limited. We the People now have to organize our efforts. We have to come together for the good of this Nation. We have to work together, conservatives and liberals alike. Straight and Gay. Black and white. We the People have to stop sweating the small stuff and take this country away from the corrupt, narcissistic politicians and the “fat & sassy” lobbyist groups. This current “political” machine is chewing up Patriots and spitting out “lazy, tit-sucking, hand open, entitlement” citizens who believe somebody owes them something. Well “Buck Up Buttercup!” Nobody owes you anything and Freedom and Liberty are not FREE. They have always come with a price… ETERNAL VIGILANCE!

If you want to effect “real” change in this country, get up off your ass and do something productive. I know everyone has an excuse as to “why” they just can’t. Well my daddy always told me; “Can’t never could!” A united, self-regulating, responsible We the People can bring this government to its knees. If you don’t believe it, ask yourself one question; “How do they keep us divided?”, by creating issues over “gay rights” or “gun control” that keep us fighting among ourselves while they play God with our laws. “Why do they keep us divided?”, because they are afraid of what We the People could do if we were all standing on the same page, united in our endeavors (Imagine what 200-300 million citizens boycotting our government could accomplish?).


Society has gotten to the point where everybody has a right but nobody has a responsibilityIf we can’t overcome the problems that have plagued us for the last 150 years (the “entitlement” mentality that has propagated throughout our citizens, making them complacent enough to believe that WE are entitled to the liberties and freedoms our Founders spoke of…), then nothing else will matter in the end. We have to become the “We the People” our Founders created this country for; a self-regulating and self-reliant populace with a judicious morality that deserves to reap the legacy our Framers left for us. We have to find a way to come together and become more active within our own communities as well as the political arena, and we also have to realize that nothing in this world is FREE (including the natural rights of man)… because if we don’t; this “political machine” is going to destroy everything we ever loved and a bloody conflict WILL take place and there will be NO winners.

It’s time to wake up… and take control of our future liberties and freedoms!
