“If only we could take some “common sense” steps to regulate firearms and reduce gun violence,” they say. Well… Been There, Done That.
Why We Need NEW Gun Control
I realize that the thought of “Gun Control” has a negative connotation to most in the gun rights community, but hear me out. We do need gun control, although NOT …
BATFE Ammo Scare Concession… What’s It All About?
So, the BATFE has rescinded their proposal on banning M855 ammunition and everyone is celebrating a great victory. I will be the first to say; getting people organized and taking the battle to the enemy (BATFE) in numbers great enough to influence them, is a great step in the right direction. Although, if you haven’t read my article; BATFE: Infringing on our rights again? maybe you should. As I said in this article; was this initial decision by the BATFE simply a “gun control” issue or was there some other underlying objective we weren’t seeing? I lend a quote from B. R. Ambedker that speaks volumes:
House members saying NO to ammo ban
We’ve all heard the “hype” regarding the BATFE’s prattling about banning the M855 ammunition. It comes as no surprise to me that Eric Holder is in large part responsible for the attempts at these reverse engineered gun control tactics, but it does come as a surprise that the majority of House members are voicing opinions to the contrary.
In what seems unprecedented numbers, more than half the members of the House are signing a letter (initiated by Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-VA) opposing the BATFE’s measures. Maybe our politicians are getting the message? Maybe they are seeing the “true” intentions of this administration? Maybe Eric Holders stated shortcomings; “I take personally as a failure to the inability to pass gun control.” has hit home in the minds of our House members? Whatever the reasons for this seemingly new found patriotism, I’m in full support at their attempt to make Holder a complete failure.
BATFE: Infringing on our rights again?
Is our federal government at it again or better said; are they still trying to find new and interesting ways to take away our rights. In specific, is the ATF currently looking at reasons to ban M855/SS109 ammunition in regards to protecting LEOs. Is said ammunition, that can penetrate level 2A body armor when fired from a pistol so completely evil that they want to take it away from us or… are they creating a NEW supply and demand for money? I completely agree that LEOs should be protected, but being an LEO is inherently dangerous and just comes with the job. Are they trying to further restrict and infringe on our rights? I have no doubt that is a definite possibility, but I’m more likely to believe that they are creating a “money” scheme here. So let me explain this little scenario.
